Great site Mr. Horsi. One of the Best! I am doing some genealogy work for a "Ferstad" friend, I would greatly appreciate pictures of the Fjaerstad farm and the town of Vik. Please let me know where to send your fee. Thank you. Harold Ramsbacher |

Hei dere! (fra salme 72) Gud velsigne dere, må kjærlighetens varme flyte over hele Sogn! i Jesu navn. Leif |

Wow! It was so amazing to see the lands my ancestors left 100 years ago! Thank you for all your hard work. You have been a blessing to me today. |

My compliments to you on a marvelous website along with an expression of appreciation for all you've put together! My great-grandfather was Ole Olson Millang from Midlang. It was a deeply moving experience to view the pictures of the farm he came and the place from which my very name has its roots! In a half-hour on your website I was able to collect much new information to lead me to the next steps in my genealogical research. Thank you so very much! I still have numerous questions about the history of Midlang (and Bo and and Hopperstad and Nese and Vikoryi - all names that have come up during my researches), but especially Midlang - is there someone you know of who I could correspond with about Midlang past and present? My thanks in advance. Lyle PS - How fortunate you are to live in such a stupendously beautiful country! |

hello torstein, I came to visit your family a few years ago, when my sister Janet workrd with Yomar. It has been good to revisit the place from time to time on the web. Much love to you and your family - I remember going up to the cabin with your parents and Anders insisting on having pudding first (berries and cream). I recognise the carving you have top right, hope you continue with it. Now I am married with 3 boys, take care love Ruthx |

We stopped off one morning at your cafe on our way from Balestrand to Voss. You kindly gave us details of the webcam. As promised, we have logged on and watched the changes in the weather as they come and go across this amazingly beautiful part of the world. What a wonderful website it is. We shall both take great pleasure in returning on a regular basis to watch the seasons change........at least until we can return in person to Norway. |

Hele mooie site, onze complimenten. Greetings from Holland. Jan & Micky |

Looking at the pictures of the Alrek Farm are truly awesome. My great-grandfather, Ingebrit Alrek emigrated to the US in the 1860's and settled on a Farm in Dodge County, Minnesota. His son Ingvald Alrick was my grandfather, and my dad was Elvin Alrick. My mother Violet Alrick is still alive and we have owned the farm north of the original Alrick farm since 1918. Thansk again for the great pictures. |
